White Blend wineries and tasting rooms in Oregon
White blends in Oregon draw mainly on Rhône varieties (Viognier, Marsanne, Roussanne, Grenache Blanc), grown almost entirely in the warmer AVAs of southern Oregon, especially the Rogue and Applegate Valleys.
The same strict labeling rule that shapes Oregon's red blends applies here (a 90% varietal minimum for most bottlings, versus 75% federally), so blending is the natural format for producers working across several Rhône white grapes at once. The results lean toward riper stone fruit and citrus character, a different profile than the Pinot Gris- and Chardonnay-driven whites of the cooler Willamette Valley.
